Match 1: Atlantico Deportivo 0 – 3 ASV River Plate
The team from “Playa P’abou” didn’t disapoint and took care of business in a categoric win over the Division Uno (D1) adversary. The River goals where scored by Marco Mejia ’47, Ajeem Morales ’86 and Zayn Nadall ’90+3. River Plate qualifies to the QF (quarter final) and will match up with La Fama this Wednesday at 8:30pm at Trinidad Stadium (all Copa Betico matches are being played there).

Match 2: RCA (4) 0 – 0 (5) Britannia
A match up of powerhouses in a very testy affair that didn’t disappoint. Britannia played most of the match (since minute 11) with ten men due to goalkeeper Vermeer’s sending off after a reckless foul on Jhon Silva of RCA, albeit he saved his team from going down 0-1, but this also ended being a broken leg for the “tricolor” attacker, speedy recovery for Jhon. The match ended up 0-0 but in penalty kicks the Piedra Plat Pumas ended up not missing the target and is now in the QF going against Bubali on Saturday (17 January) at 8:30pm.

Match 3: SV Caiquetio (4) 1 – 1 (3) SV Estrella
Caiquetio is a club that truly is playing at “Division Honor” level, and thinking about it, should have playing in the top league this season. They matched up well against Estrella and was the better team most of the time in the 90 minutes. Estrella hit first, a goal by Anthony Arends at ’50, but the Indians from Paradera struck back and levelled at ’66, a goal by Jorge Zarate. In penalty kicks it was tense but Caiquetio edged the “Naranhada” 4-3 in PK’s to qualify for the QF to meet FC San Nicolas (another D1 team), on Friday (16th) at 8:30pm.

Match 4: SV Brazil Juniors 0 – 4 SV Dakota
The current leaders in “Division di Honor” had no problem against a strong D1 team, it was business as usual again for the “Amarillonan”, the current Copa Betico champion (2025). Goals by Juan Camilo Cervantes (’16), Sebastian Montoya (’28), Daniel BriceƱo (’31) and Woodeney Jean Baptiste (’90+1). Dakota will now face Nacional in the QF, a rematch of the Copa Betico 2025 final, on Thursday at 8:30pm.

Match 5: SV Caravel 0 – 7 Bubali SC
Bubali is curently in great form, and they didn’t miss a beat against Caravel in the round of 16 match-up. A quadruple for Antonio Fawcett Prieto in this match (4 goals scored in this game). The scoring for the “Orguyonan di Noord” went as follows; Cristofer Placencio (’13), Antonio Fawcett (’29, ’43, ’46 and ’50), Miguel Pombo Suarez (’53), and David Goyburo (’81). Bubali will now face Britannia in the QF.

Match 6: Real Koyari (2) 1 – 1 (4) FC San Nicolas
The bottom club in “Division Honor” against a strong contender from D1, a tight match that ended in a 1-1 draw in regular time. Goals by Zahor Boekhoudt for Koyari (‘9) and for the club “p’ariba di brug” Roberto Perez (’64) for the equalizer. FC San Nicolas won the penalty shootout with a score of 4-2 and will now play in the QF against Caiquetio in the battle of D1 clubs.

Match 7: SV La Fama 4 – 1 SV Jong Aruba
La Fama is having a great season so far and is “Liga Oro” bound in the league. In this Copa Betico Match-up they showed their quality with an easy win over Jong Aruba to advance to the next stage in this Copa Betico 2026 behind a hattrick by Gregory David (‘3, ’34, ’42) and another goal by Kenroy Ranger (’50). The lone goal for Jong Aruba was made by Michael Molinares at minute 56. La Fama will play against River Plate in the QF.

Match 8: SV Sporting Aruba 2 – 3 SV Deportivo Nacional
A very tense match between the Division di Honor teams. Sporting in a good run in the league was competing well with their top 6 concurrent for much of the game. Devis Oliveros had a brace in this game for the Dragons, goals at ’36 and ’58. Owen v/d Wijne opened the score for Sporting and equalized at that point (’40), but with the score 2-1 Justin Congo in PK (’67) send Nacional up 3-1, after being fouled in the box and a sendoff for Sporting defender Fierro. With ten men, Sporting fought back with a Ricky Hodge goal (’75) to make the score 2-3 and until the last second of the match anything could have happened, the Dragons held on. Nacional will next play against Dakota in the QF.
